Hands-On Bedding Ensemble Workshop with Donna Cash
June 11–13, 2027 • Flowery Branch, GA • 3 Days • Only 6 Students • $650
Create beautiful bedding for your own home with personal guidance from Donna Cash. In this three-day hands-on workshop, you’ll make a full-size bedding ensemble, up to queen size, including:
• One pillow sham with unique details and a zipper
• One duvet cover with a zipper closure
• One tailored bed skirt
You’ll learn how Donna approaches design, coordinates fabrics, and creates professional finishing details—and practice those skills on bedding sized for your own bed.
With only six students, there’s time for questions, individual help, and encouragement along the way. You’ll work at your own pace; how much you complete during class will depend on your progress.
If larger sewing projects have felt intimidating, Donna will help you break each one into manageable steps.
Fabric & Workshop Preparation

You’ll provide all fabric and lining materials, plus the zippers for your duvet cover and pillow sham. Yardage will depend on your bed measurements, fabric width, pattern repeats, and design details.
Registered students will receive measurement guides, approximate yardage information, supply lists, and fabric calculation worksheets 45 days before the workshop. These materials will help you plan your purchases and arrive prepared. Students registering within that window will receive them upon registration.

Tuition & Schedule
Tuition is $650 per student for all three days. Pay in full or make two payments of $325. The first payment reserves your place; the remaining $325 is due 30 days after your first payment.
Sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Day 3 may finish a little earlier.

SCHEDULE
DAY ONE
Arrival – Students arrive between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.
Introductions – Once everyone’s fabrics are brought inside and set up, we take a few minutes to visit and get to know one another.
Getting Started – Then it’s time to start making a duvet cover.
What to Expect on Day One – By the end of day one, your duvet cover should be just about complete. Sound like a lot? Don’t worry because you’ve already done your homework from the PDF instructions sent to you after you register.
Lunch Time – At 12:30 pm we take a 1-hour break
Quitting Time – We end the day around 4:30. With all the information you’ve learned, you’ll be ready for a break!
DAY TWO – Start at 8:30 am
What to Expect on Day Two – You will make a tailored bed skirt on a band. A tailored bed skirt has a pleat on each side and a pleat at the corner at the foot of the bed. To make installing your bed skirt easier, you will make it on a band rather than a deck.
Depending on you, this should be complete by the end of the day. Whew! You’ll also get to know the other students and start forming new friendships.
Lunch Time – At 12:30 pm, we take a 1-hour break
Quitting Time – Expect to end the day around 4:30 pm.
DAY THREE – Start at 8:30 am
What to Expect on Day Three – You will make a pillow sham today. I always say making pillows is like the icing on the cake. So, I guess you can say it’s cake day. The pillow sham will have a few unique details and will coordinate with your duvet cover and bed skirt.
Today you leave with a bedding ensemble ready to dress up your room at home! Twin, full, or queen size.
Lunch Time – At 12:30 pm we take a 1-hour break
Quitting Time – Expect to end the day no later than 4:00 pm
